The Bert Offensive (Demo)

The Bert Offensive is a one-man project I started back in 2019, initially meant as a game for my best friends filled with inside jokes, but due to various circumstances, the development came to a halt. After recently rediscovering my old SRPG Studio files, I've decided to remove the inside jokes, adjust the names and sprites and continue what I've initially started: make a fun, short Fire Emblem-like strategy RPG! It's a zero-budget project and even the finished project will be free to play, so at the moment, all the art and music are royalty-free or from the built-in media. And no, this is not a serious game - but it's very fun to make, and  fun to play as well!

The Bert Offensive follows the Lior Mercenaries, a group of mercenaries from the land of Gingovia. The group was founded by Lior, the warrior and Lysander, the strategist, and further consists of Lennox, Lucian, Isolde, Marisol and Elio. The seven friends make ends meet by keeping the local townsfolk safe from pirates and other scoundrels, when one day, a sorcerer with unusual magic powers wreaked havoc upon the land. 

But this was no ordinary wizard - it was one of the Berts.

Will the Lior Mercenaries, prince Gizmo and soon-to-be queen Sansa be able to protect the realm of Gingovia against the threat that is the Bert Offensive?

As of this moment, only the prologue and the two chapters after that are edited and fully playable!
